The main objective of dry eye treatment is to increase the precorneal tear film stability and volume. Hyaluronic acid has been shown to have a similar chemical structure, molecular weight and rheological behaviour as mucin, a tear component. Due to its viscoelastic properties the eye is lubricated without visual impairment. In addition, the water binding capacity of hyaluronic acid keeps the eye’s surface wet.

Therapeutic indications
Symptomatic use in the treatment of dry eyes (dry eye syndrome).
Contraindications
In cases of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Usual dose
HYLO-COMOD should be used according to the instructions given by your doctor. Generally you instil one drop of HYLO- COMOD three times a day into each eye. If necessary it can also be used more frequently. If you use HYLO- COMOD more frequently (e. g. more than 10 times per day) please consult your ophthalmologist. HYLO- COMOD is suitable for longterm treatment. As with all complaints you should consult your ophthalmologist when your complaints persist.
HYLO-COMOD can be used up to 12 weeks after first opening.
HYLO-COMOD is used for symptomatic use in the treatment of dry eyes (dry eye syndrome).
HYLO-COMOD can be used while wearing hard or soft contact lenses and improves their wearing comfort.
Because HYLO-COMOD is preservative-free, it is very well tolerated, even in long-term treatment.
